State Sen. Paul Sarlo indicated support for Bergen County Democratic Chairman Paul Juliano’s backing of Democratic State Chair John Currie for another term.
“The county organization is unified,” Sarlo said. “The whole county organization is unified behind our chair.”
Juliano and all 10 of Bergen’s Democratic State Committee members backed Currie for another term as Democratic State Chairman Sunday.
Essex County Democratic Chairman LeRoy Jones is expected to challenge Currie for the state chair post, though that race won’t happen until after Tuesday’s elections.
