Three New Jersey groups connected to a politically powerful labor union won creative awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
Affordable Energy for New Jersey, a group opposed to Gov. Phil Murphy’s energy policies, won a set of Hermes Creative Platinum Awards for its “Save New Jersey’s Stoves” marketing campaign. The campaign accused officials of trying to ban gas stoves in the state.
Engineers Labor-Employer Cooperative, or ELEC 825, won a Hermes Creative Gold Award for a television program entitled “Our Infrastructure Matters.” The program highlights infrastructure projects and issues across the state. The union-backed program supported the upgrade and maintenance of the state’s infrastructure.
“We are honored to receive this international recognition for our organization’s collective efforts in creating the program,” said Mark Longo, the director of ELEC825. “Infrastructure impacts our everyday lives and we felt it critical to highlight how that happens behind the scenes.”
The Tristate Infrastructure News Network, a building trades-connected website that creates and aggregates infrastructure-related news, won two Gold Honors for “Body of Work Achievement” and “Use of Multi-Media.”
The winners are connected to the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825.
