The New Jersey Democratic State Committee has raised nearly $3.5 million since Election Day and is preparing to invest in local races throughout the state according to a memorandum obtained by the New Jersey Globe.

The state party has also heavily invested in upgrading their database and has developed a digital strategy that has achieved nearly 1 million digital impressions so far, and has partnered with the Democratic National Committee to include another 2.2 million new cell phone numbers to their digital file.

“The Governor’s initiatives and message have been proven to excite the Democratic base including party leaders, elected officials, and most importantly the grassroots of our Party,” wrote executive director Liz Gilbert and consultant Adam Alonso.  “With the Governor’s support, the DSC is intricately assisting campaigns around the state including Menendez for Senate, our congressional candidates, and county and local parties.

Gov. Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy are credited with the party’s fundraising success, which includes eliminating all previous debts.

Through a grant from the Democratic National Committee State Party Innovation Fund, Democrats will target about two dozen municipal races by providing financial and human resources.

The state party has also launched a full digital petition headed by U.S. Senator Cory Booker with an email to 400,000 activists.
