Minimum wage increase has massive appeal in New Jersey

New Jerseyans support the new law raising the state’s minimum wage to $15-per-hour by a 66%-29% margin, according to a Monmouth University poll released today.

The move by Gov. Phil Murphy, Senate President Steve Sweeney and Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin to increase the minimum wage over the next five years is familiar to 94% of New Jersey residents.  Just 6% of the state is unfamiliar with the new law.
