With a boost from Roger Chugh, Watson Coleman raises $60k in 2nd quarter

Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing)

Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing) raised $59,778 during the 2nd quarter of 2019 and has $161,394 cash-on-hand, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Among her donors was former Assistant New Jersey Secretary of State Roger Chugh, who was forced to resign his McGreevey administration post after reports surfaced about some rather bizarre 2009 Internet posts.  Chugh gave $25 to Watson Coleman during the last quarter.

The three-term Democrat has raised $146,294 in the first six months of this year.

Watson Coleman, named the powerful House Appropriations Committee after Democrats took control earlier this year, was re-elected to her 12th district seat with 69% of the vote last year.
