Razzoli raises $43 in three months for congressional bid

Democrat-turned-Republican Old Bridge councilman challenging Bonnie Watson Coleman

Old Bridge Councilman Mark Razzoli

Mark Razzoli, an Old Bridge councilman who switched parties last year to seek the Republican nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 12th district, raised just $43 during the 4th quarter of last year.

He has raised a total of $2,119 for his bid to unseat Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing).

Razzoli has $1,018 cash-on-hand, and has already accumulated a campaign debt of $5,031.

This is Razzoli’s second campaign in as many years.  He sought the Democratic mayoral nomination in Old Bridge last year, but David Merwin defeated him by a 2-1 margin.

Watson Coleman raised $61,360 during the 4th quarter of 2019 and now has $147,204 cash-on-hand.  She raised $282,967 in 2019 and is carrying a $7,550 debt.

Hillary Clinton carried the 12th by a 65%-32% margin in 2016.  The district has 138,221 more Democrats than Republicans.
