New Jersey Right to Life PAC, a prominent anti-abortion group that’s influential among New Jersey conservatives, has lent its support to several Republican candidates running for Congress this year.

In the 9th district, the PAC has endorsed Clifton Councilwoman Rosie Pino, who is locked in a head-to-head Republican primary against attorney Tiffany Burress; the winner will challenge potentially vulnerable Democratic Rep. Nellie Pou (D-North Haledon).

The PAC is also weighing in on the race for U.S. Senate, but two candidates got its recommendation rather than just one: former Tabernacle Committeeman Justin Murphy and state trooper Richard Tabor. Also running for the Senate against incumbent Democrat Cory Booker are former News 12 reporter Alex Zdan and physician Robert Lebovics.

In the three-way Republican primary for Rep. Herb Conaway (D-Delran)’s 3rd district, Marine Corps veteran Michael McGuire earned Right to Life’s backing. And the PAC is supporting 4th district Rep. Chris Smith (R-Manchester), 6th district GOP challenger Hillary Gerzig, and Sussex County Commissioner Jack DeGroot (R-Wantage), none of whom face primary opposition.
