The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched a series of web ads highlighting votes by Rep. Josh Gottheimer and the state’s first-term congresspeople on a dark money bill the House passed Friday.
The DCCC’s ads aim to boost the reelection chances of House Democrats in New Jersey’s competitive districts.
Freshmen Reps. Mikie Sherrill, Tom Malinowski, Jeff Van Drew and Andy Kim will see the ads go up online in their districts, as will Gottheimer.
“Last November, Americans said loud and clear that they want a government that serves hardworking families, not the special interests who for too long have bought influence at the expense of the rest of us,” DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos said. “With today’s vote to restore ethics and integrity to our democracy, Rep. Sherrill came through on her promise to make government work for the people again.”
