Sue Altman, the presumptive Democratic nominee for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th district, won her party’s organization line in Warren County today as she prepares to take on freshman Rep. Thomas Kean, Jr. (D-Westfield) in one of the nation’s premier House races.

Altman has no opponent in the primary after vanquishing three men who dropped out before the start of convention season.

She has secured organization endorsements in Hunterdon, Sussex, and Union counties – a considerable achievement for the former New Jersey Working Families state director who initiated a federal lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the line nearly four years. ago.

In a general election, Warren County made up 12.6% of the total votes cast in 2022; Kean won 62% against two-term Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes).  Warren County Democrats cast 10% of the primary election ballots two years ago.

Warren County Democrats also endorsed President Joe Biden for re-election by acclamation.
