Emily McGrath, who has worked on a number of political campaigns in South Jersey, is the new president of the College Democrats of New Jersey.
The rising senior at Rowan University succeeds David McMillan, who recently graduated from The College of New Jersey and is now interning at The CATO Institute.
“Heading into an off year election, the youth vote will be crucial in races throughout the entire state,” McGrath said. “We are excited and ready to help the Governor’s re-election efforts along with all Democrats seeking election this coming November.”
Another Rowan Democrat, Nick Dannenfelser, will serve as vice president.
Others elected to College Democrats posts: Natalia Zorilla (Princeton), executive director; Mahiyah Sampson (Kean) deputy executive director; Patrick Coveny (Rutgers), treasurer; Ryan Lin (TCNJ) and Sullivan Meyer (Princeton), communications co-directors; Frank Meade (Seton Hall), membership director; Dylan Shapiro (Princeton), development director; Anna Bray (Rowan), political director; Matthew Filosa (Monmouth), state council chair; Katie Dailey (Princeton University), central regional chair; and Rory Newman (Rowan), southern regional chair.
McGrath is a county committeewoman in Atlantic County.
