Bayonne Mayor-elect Sharon Ashe Nadrowski announced that Andrew J. Casais will take over as the city’s business administrator.

Casais has worked in municipal government for more than 15 years, including three years as Bayonne’s chief of staff, from 2014 to 2017. He worked as the business administrator for the Borough of Roselle Park from 2019 to 2025.

“As we work to assemble the City’s new administration, our goal is to answer the overwhelming call for increased efficiency, fiscal responsibility, accountability, and a holistic and fundamental change to the way local government operates here in Bayonne,” Nadrowski said in the announcement. “Andrew is exactly the kind of leader to help us build a government that seeks solutions and actually works for the people of Bayonne.”

Casais, an alumnus of Seton Hall University, also worked as Roselle Park’s municipal clerk during his time there.

“I’m very passionate about local government because it is the closest to the people, and shapes the reality of daily life,” Casais said. “It is truly an honor to be chosen to serve in this position, and it is my intention to bring every aspect of my experiences to this role. I look forward to working alongside Mayor Nadrowski, the City Council, and City employees to build a better Bayonne.”
