Public and private pools will be allowed to reopen on June 22, Gov. Phil Murphy announced Monday.

Guidance on how the state’s pools will be allowed to operate will be issued by the Department of Health on Tuesday, the governor said.

Assembly Minority Leader Jon Bramnick preempted the governor’s announcement, tweeting “Governor to announce pools to open June 22” hours before Murphy’s daily COVID-19 briefing began.
