Burlington County freeholder director Tom Pullion has endorsed Gov. Phil Murphy’s proposed millionaire’s tax – the first top South Jersey Democrat to side with the governor.
“We must find the courage to ask the wealthiest among us to pay their fair share so we can more broadly impact our middle class,” Pullion said at a press conference at Rowan College’s Mt. Laurel campus.
Pullion became freeholder director in January when Democrats took a 4-1 majority, the first time they had a majority of seats since 1975.
His endorsement of Murphy’s plan is largely symbolic, since Pullion is unlikely to influence the four Democratic legislators from Burlington County.

Instead of taxing successful people and forcing them to leave why not eliminate or merge the number of Towns and School Districts that duplicate themselves causing the high property taxes. Try saving money instead of always spending .
