Sue Kiley has snagged an endorsement from the State Troopers Fraternal Association PAC in her bid for the Republican nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 6th district.
The group said that Kiley ”possess the attributes and qualifications to be a great congresswomen” and paid tribute to her “initiatives on communication, testing,-and vaccination, during the heart of the pandemic” and her “ affection and support of veterans and law enforcement.” The state troopers praised Kiley’ performance as a Monmouth County Commissioner and as mayor of Hazlet.”
The law enforcement union represents over 1,800 New Jersey State Troopers.
Kiley faces former U.S. Food and Drug Administration official Rik Mehta and former Republican National Committee staffer Tom Toomey in next week’s GOP primary. The winner will take on Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-Long Branch), the chairman of the House Energy & Commerce Committee.
“We all count of these Troopers every day to keep us safe,” said Kiley. “They can count on me to protect their interests, and the interests of all law enforcement officers, as a Member of Congress.”
