The Natural Resources Defense Council Action Fund has endorsed Rep. Tom Malinowski for re-election to a third term in New Jersey’s 7th district.
“We are proud to support members of Congress who are standing up for their constituents in the fight for our future,” said NRDC Action Fund president Manish Bapna. “ They understand that bold climate action will lead to a stronger economy and a better future for our country and our planet, and we need their leadership in the House now more than ever.”
The endorsement is no surprise. Last September, the NRDC launched a six-figure paid advertising campaign highlighting Malinowski’s support of President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better agenda.
In 2018, Malinowski, a former Assistant U.S. Secretary of State under President Barack Obama, became the first Democrat to win the 7th district House seat since 1954.
“From ending the PennEast Pipeline to championing historic investments in clean energy, I’ve been fighting with the NRDC Action Fund since the day I got to Congress,” Malinowski said. “I’m grateful for our continued partnership in protecting the environment, building climate-resilient infrastructure, and creating high quality green jobs.”
