Arati Kreibich raised $192,484 between April 1 and June 17 and has $144,461 cash-on-hand for her challenge to Rep. Josh Gottheimer in the July 7 Democratic primary.
In the three days following Bernie Sanders’ endorsement, Kreibich raised over $50,000, her campaign said.
“With over 7,500 contributions averaging just $24, I’m proud to have raised more from grassroots small donors than any other NJ-5 candidate,” said Kreibich, a Glen Rock councilwoman. “This is an unprecedented moment, and our momentum is growing as voters respond to our message of electing a real Democrat who believes in healthcare for all, bold climate action, and refusing corporate PAC contributions.”
That bring Kreibich’s total fundraising to $474,812 since she became a candidate for Congress last September.
Gottheimer, a two-term congressman known as the Human Fundraising Machine, has not yet reported his fundraising haul since April 1. He had nearly $7.9 million in the bank at that time.
