John Hsu, who is mounting a primary challenge from the left against House Energy & Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-Long Branch) in New Jerseys 6th district, has raised $5,092 so far this year.
Hsu raised just $304 during the 3rd quarter of 2019 and has $3,628 in his campaign account.
“I will not take any corporate PAC money. I will not spend time fundraising for big money donations. I will fundraise with mostly small donations. I will continue to be an activist for the causes I believe in,” Hsu said.
Three other Democrats are challenging Pallone in the Democratic primary: Russell Cirincione, Zachary Roeill and Javahn Walker.
Pallone defeated Walker in the 2018 primary by about 72 percentage points.
