Wayne Blanchard, the head of the New Jersey State Troopers union, was re-elected first vice chairman of the National Troopers Coalition, positioning him to lead the group in the future.
Blanchard, the president of the New Jersey State Troopers Fraternal Association, won an unexpired term as first vice chairman last year; he succeeded Michigan State Police Association President Nate Johnson, who now serves as NTC president.
Two other New Jerseyans also won elections to national office: State Troopers Non-Commissioned Officers Association President Daniel Oliveria, was elected NTC treasurer; and STFA Second Vice President William Legg won a third term as NTC East Region coordinator.
“It’s truly and honor that my colleagues from across our great nation have spoken in support of me and have the confidence in me to be a part of a leadership team to guide and protect our troopers nationwide during these difficult times for our profession,” Blanchard stated.
