A recount in the Democratic primary for Dover Aldermen has affirmed the victories of Humberto Quinones over incumbent Thomas MacDonald in Ward 2 and Carlos Valencia over incumbent Ronald Camacho in Ward 4.

Quinones had a 19-vote margin over MacDonald after the June 5 count.  The recount kept those numbers the same.

The recount doubled Valencia’s margin from 6 votes to 12 over Camacho.

Another incumbent, Michael Picciallo, was defeated for renomination by Dover First candidate Sandra Milena Wittner, by a 176 to 126 vote.  Picciallo is not seeking a recount.

Republicans do not have any candidates running in the general election.

The Dover First slate of county committee candidates won an overwhelming majority on June 5.  The leader of the group, Edward Correa, is now the Democratic Municipal Chairman.
