Gov. Phil Murphy and U.S. Senator Bob Menendez will speak at the Latino Action Network legislative conference tomorrow in Newark, the group said.

State Sen. Nellie Pou (D-Paterson), Bergen County freeholder Germaine Ortiz, Perth Amboy Mayor Wilda Diaz, former state Supreme Court Justice Gary Stein, Ivette Mendez of 1199 SEIU, and Rich Tolson of the Bricklayers Union will also be among the speakers.

The keynote speaker is Juan Cartagena, President and General Counsel of Latino Justice and a prominent civil rights attorney and advocate.

“This conference has always been about developing and refining a legislative and policy agenda for the Latino communities of New Jersey,” said LAN President Christian Estevez. “It helps us to refocus and analyze our priorities.”

An earlier version on this story incorrectly stated the date of this event.  It is on Saturday, February 2.
