Democratic congressional candidate Tom Malinowski has been endorsed by End Citizens United (ECU), a grassroots organization supporting candidates committed to rejecting corporate PAC money in political campaigns.
“Voters are fed up with the way Washington does business, and they’re demanding reform,” said ECU President Tiffany Muller. “By rejecting corporate PAC money, Tom is taking bold steps to address the problem before he even gets to Congress. He’s showing voters that he’s listening. ECU is proud to endorse his campaign and will work to help elect him to Congress.”
U.S. Senator Cory Booker and congressional candidate Andy Kim, who is challenging Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-Toms River) have recently eschewed corporate PAC money.
ECU says their endorsement will help Malinowski compete with high-spending special interest groups by connecting him with its 7,100 grassroots members in the 7th district, as well as its national network of 400,000 small-dollar donors. With an average donation of $14, ECU is projected to raise $35 million for the 2018 election cycle.
