Judge rules for Scutari

A Superior Court Judge ruled today that Union County Democrats may not use voting machines in tomorrow’s special election for County Chairman.

Superior Court Judge Katherine Dupuis sided with State Sen. Nicholas Scutari (D-Linden), who argued that the party by-laws required a roll call vote by town.  His opponent, acting county chair Colleen Mahr, had sought to use voting machines.
