In Memoriam

Susan Schmidt, who worked as a ceremonial resolution writer for the New Jersey Office of Legislative Services, died on July 29.  She was 66.

Donald Gelnaw, who served as a councilman and mayor in Park Ridge in the early 1980s, died on July 22.  He was 84.  Gelnaw served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Connie Johnson, a former Millville school bard member, died on July 26.  She was 76.  Johnson was a past president of the Cumberland County NAACP.

Michael Lange, who served on the Brigantine Board of Education and on the Zoning Board, died on July 27. He was 80.

John LaSpina, who served on the zoning and planning boards in Point Pleasant, died on July 24.  He was 81.

Virginia Dixon, a former Franklin Township (Gloucester County) Republican Club president, died on July 27.  She was 77.

Jacob Bosgra, a former Hawthorne Democratic County Committeeman, died on July 26.  He was 71.
