Governor Murphys’ Grade Today

By David Wildstein

Today is Phil Murphy’s 15th day in office.  He’s now into week two, so the honeymoon of getting a check plus for doing no wrong is over.   Still, the Governor had a good day. He appointed a new executive director of New Jersey Transit, a seasoned infrastructure executive.  The assumption is that Murphy’s team has figured out how Kevin Corbett can obviate any conflicts that come with his prior job pubic contract filled AECOM. Murphy also reversed a Christie environmental policy that will play well to his Democratic base.

(PoliticsDW will give Murphy a grade every day — either a check, a check plus, a check minus, or an incomplete.  He’ll get a letter grade every week.  Last week, Murphy got an A.)
