Today is Phil Murphy’s 7th day in office. He fulfilled one of his campaign promises, starting the process of turning around New Jersey Transit through an executive order requiring an independent audit. No opposition from anyone on that; the Senate Republican leader stood next to him. He also comes off an excellent weekend, where First Lady Tammy Murphy scored huge points at the Women’s March in Morristown by her honest revelation of a deeply personal incident.
(PoliticsDW will give Murphy a grade every day — either a check, a check plus, a check minus, or an incomplete. He’ll get a letter grade every week. Last week, Murphy got an A.)
