Former Assemblyman Sam Fiocchi (R-Vineland) is the new president of the Associated Builders and Contractors of New Jersey.
“Sam is a proven leader who is more than ready to step into his new role,” said Michael Russo, chairman of the ABC NJ board. “His professional demeanor and grasp of critical matters important to the industry give him a full understanding of the needs of merit shop owners throughout the state. We are confident he has the vision and experience to both grow the organization and lead our members into the future.”
Fiocchi served on the Cumberland County Board of Freeholder for three years before his election to the State Assembly in 2013.
The Associated Builders and Contractors of New Jersey represents contractors that use non-union employees.
“I am excited to take on this role with ABC New Jersey and thank them for the opportunity to promote and advocate on behalf of the merit shop construction industry,” Fiocchi said. “As we move beyond the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I want to ensure our current members have the ability to achieve the highest levels of individual and company performance in an environment of fair and open competition, while also working to bring in new members which will strengthen our voice with policymakers.”
