Dem chairman says Fauntleroy should resign if convicted

By David Wildstein, April 30 2018 9:37 pm

Atlantic City councilman Jeffree Fauntleroy II needs to resign if he’s found guilty on domestic violence charges, the county Democratic chairman says.

“I am deeply troubled by the charge brought against Councilman Fauntleroy. Domestic violence cannot and should not be tolerated under any circumstances, and it is incumbent on all of us to stand up for victims and their families. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and this disturbing charge will go through the proper legal channels,” said Michael Suleiman, the county chairman. “However, if Councilman Fauntleroy is ultimately found guilty, he needs to resign from Atlantic City Council.”
