President Joe Biden will be in Middletown next Saturday evening for a campaign fundraiser at the home of Gov. Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy.

Biden raised over $1 million at the Murphy home in 2022 for the Democratic National Committee’s grassroots victory fund.  Next week’s event is expected to net more than that.

Joined by First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, the president has a fundraiser in New York next Friday and another in the Hamptons on Saturday, July 29.

The New Jersey Globe has learned that Murphy is expected to spend part of the fall campaigning for Biden in battleground states.

The presumptive Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump, has seen his fundraising efforts surge over the last two months and is closing in on Biden’s $100 million cash advantage.
