Former State Sen. Edward Durr (R-Logan), who ran for State Senate twice as an unabashed fan of former President Donald Trump, has endorsed Trump’s bid to return to the White House.
“President Trump has my complete and total endorsement,” said Durr. “We’ve seen — in my primary last year, and in Iowa and New Hampshire — that conservatives demand America First candidates who take the fight to the far-left politicians ruining our country.”
Durr called on Republicans to unite behind Trump and focus on defeating Joe Biden in the November election.
“Last year’s legislative elections revealed that while Democrats rally around their standard bearers, Republican disunity, and infighting keep them from being successful at the ballot box,” Durr stated.
Durr was elected to the State Senate in 2021, ousting Senate President Steve Sweeney in one of the biggest upsets in New Jersey history. He lost his bid for a second term last year to Democrat John Burzichelli.
