Arne Olsen was re-elected to a seat on the Fredon Township Board of Education, but the winner of a second seat won’t be determined until write-in votes are counted.

Olsen was the only candidate to file for two three-year terms and received 254 votes.  The Sussex County Clerk reported 194 write-in votes.

Catherine Higgins did not seek re-election.

In a race for an unexpired term, incumbent Anthony Corcella, who was appointed to fill a vacant seat last year, ran unopposed.

Turnout in Fredon was at 12%, which appears to be the second-highest in the state behind Westfield.

Voters approved the school budget with 62% of the vote.

In Montague, incumbents Paul Brislin and Andree Campbell, along with Jaime Johnson, had no opponents for three-year terms.  Another incumbent, Christopher Bell, was unopposed for an unexpired term.

Voters approved the school budget by a 60%-40% margin, with turnout at roughly 9%.
