Union City’s workaholic mayor, Brian P. Stack, broke three ribs after departing his office on Sunday afternoon.

“I was leaving City Hall and fell down some stairs and broke a few ribs,” said Stack, who also represents parts of Hudson County in the New Jersey State Senate  “I am in some pain, so I cam currently at home, but I am in constant contact with my department directors and offices to ensure the city and district office are running as usual..”

Stack has a reputation for hands-on constituent service and for working nights and weekends.

“I do not like to miss a day in the office, so rest assured, I will be back very soon to serve the residents of Union City and the 33rd district,” he said.
