Sometimes politicians do great things just to be good.

Nathan Rudy, a former North Plainfield councilman and PoliticsNJ columnist, is shaving his head to raise money for childhood cancer research.  This is the seventh time Rudy has done this – ten years after leaving public office.

The annual North Plainfield fundraising event has been led for the last seventeen years by Rob Beattie, a firefighter who is responsible for raising over $1 million for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation
