Hamilton Mayor-elect Jeff Martin has called on a group of political powerhouses with extended institutional knowledge to help him prepare to govern New Jersey’s 9th largest municipality.

Martin, who defeated two-term incumbent Kelly Yaede last month, had previously named Rachel Holland and Sharon Shinkle Gardner as his transition chairs.

Former State Treasurer David Rousseau and Assembly Democratic Executive Director Skip Cimino will head Martin’s Operations & Finance committee.  Rousseau was state treasurer under Gov. Jon Corzine and Cimino, a former assemblyman, served as New Jersey Commissioner of Personnel.

Martin has also tapped former Mercer County Freeholder Anthony Carabelli, former Mercer County Counsel Arthur Sypek, Trenton Thunder CEO Jeff Hurley, Hamilton YMCA CEO Diana Zita, Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 9 Assistant Business Manager Chuddy Whalen, Robert Wood Johnson Hamilton Hospital Senior Vice President Lisa Breza, Berkshire Bank Regional President Jeannine Cimino, and Steven Gardner of the New Jersey State Laborers to work on his team.

Named by Martin to serve as public safety co-chairs are two former Mercer County Sheriffs, Gilbert Lugossey and Samuel Plumeri.

Andrew Hendry, a former Senate majority Office Executive Director, will also serve as Martin transition co-chair.
