Three more building trades unions have endorsed Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes for re-election, bringing the total number of locals to twelve.
The Painters & Allied Trades District Council 21, Operative Plasterers & Cement Masons Local 592, and Tile & Marble Workers Local 7 have now signed on in support of Hughes’ sixth term.
“I continue to be humbled at the support from the hard-working men and women of organized labor. The relationships I have formed with these unions in Mercer County have been among my most valued during my tenure as County Executive,” Hughes said. “Not only have we forged a tremendous partnership that has helped put thousands of families to work at good paying jobs, but we’ve also ensured that Mercer County residents get safe, high-quality construction jobs for their tax dollars.”
Hughes faces a primary challenge from Assemblyman Dan Benson (D-Hamilton).
