Funeral services for North Arlington Mayor Joseph Bianchi will be held at 10 AM on Monday at Queen of Peace RC Church in North Arlington.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-8 PM.

Bianchi, 77, died on Wednesday after a long battle with cancer.

The mayor was seeking re-election to a second term.  Since voting has already begun and the deadline to switch candidates has passed, Bianchi’s name will remain on the ballot.

If Bianchi is re-elected posthumously, the local Republican party will fill the vacancy.

  1. My husband and I had the pleasure of knowing him when he was running and won the 1st election. May be RIP. My sincere condolences to his wife and children and the rest of the family.
