Former Morris County Young Republican Chairman Will Felegi has announced that he will seek the GOP nomination for freeholder in the June primary on a ticket with another challenger, Donald Dinsmore.

Three incumbents — Douglas Cabana, Kathy DeFillippo and Tom Mastrangelo — are seeking re-election and plan to mount a joint campaign,

“I am running for Morris County Freeholder to offer Republican primary and general election voters new leadership committed to public service and embracing all that is great about Morris County while bringing people together in order to confront the challenges that lie ahead,” Felegi said.

Felegi is a former National Guard sergeant and works as a special education teacher at William Paterson College.  He also served as president of the Jefferson Township Republican Club.

“Whether it was volunteering to serve our country in uniform or pursuing a career educating the next generation, Will Felegi has demonstrated a commitment to service above self. He represents the very best of America and Morris County,” said former freeholder Hank Lyon, who has endorsed his candidacy.  “Will is someone who can be trusted to faithfully represent the people of Morris County as Freeholder.”

  1. Hank Lyon? Is that the same guy who got completely smacked by Decroce in Assembly race? Wouldn’t be touting that name around.

    1. I will be voting for Felegi. He served our country and I do think new leadership is needed, tired of the tax hikes. He has my vote, so does Dinsmore.
