An employee of the Newark Housing Authority was sentenced to 30 months in prison after admitting to distributing heroin and cocaine and possessing a firearm despite his prior felony conviction.

Aughkay L. Green, also known as “K-Boogie,” admitted to selling 25 bricks of heroin, about 38 grams – and 48.9 grams of crack cocaine in 2017 while dressed in his Newark Parking Authority uniform.  He was under local law enforcement surveillance at the time, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Later, Green accompanied an associate who gave the individual he sold drugs to a pair of handguns and 50 rounds of hollow-point bullets.
