Democratic Challenger Joanne Schwartz defeated Burlington County Clerk Tim Tyler by a wide margin Tuesday, securing an eight-point victory, beating the incumbent 56%-44%.
Schwartz, a former Burlington County Freeholder who narrowly lost an Assembly race to Assemblymen Joe Howarth and Ryan Peters, who was his first term that year, secured 85,836 votes on Tuesday.
Tyler, a two-term clerk who won his first race in 2008, won 67,454 votes.
