Bucco chief of staff loses local seat

By David Wildstein, November 07 2018 10:18 am

Bruce Sisler, the chief of staff to Assemblyman Anthony Bucco, lost his bid for re-election to the Morris Township Committee.

That shifts Morris Township from Republican to Democratic control next year as the GOP prepares to defend their seats in the 25th district State Assembly race.

Democrats Jeff Grayzel (5,273) and Mark Gyorfy (5,141) defeated Sisler (4,251) and Joseph Calvanelli (4,129).

Sisler, a former executive director of the New Jersey Republican State Committee, was considered a potential candidate for the seat of retiring Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll (R-Morris Township).  His loss likely precludes that.
