Berger, De Garmeaux lead in Howell

Howell Mayor Theresa Berger leads former K-8 School Board member Suzanne Brennan, a Republican, by 2,791 votes for a second four-year term.

Berger’s council running mate, Andre De Garmeaux leads by 1,672 in his race against Deputy Mayor Evelyn O’Donnell.

If they both win, Democrats will gain a 3-2 majority on the council.

The winners will serve for four years.

The Democrats were backed by the State Troopers Fraternal Association and NJ Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Organization.
