Bergen County Republicans will not hold county committee elections this year and instead will postpone party elections until June 2021, county chairman Jack Zisa announced today.
Zisa said he made the decision “ after consultation with the Republican State Committee and as recommended by Governor (Phil) Murphy.”
“Many counties are following the guidance,” Zisa said.
All county committee members elected in 2018 will be held over for an additional year.
Zisa, who was elected in two years ago when Paul DiGaetano stepped down, will also remain in office until next June.
