A school board member and the head of the Police Athletic League will run for Bayonne City Council at-large posts on a slate with mayoral candidate Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski.

Ashe-Nadrowski will run with Jody Casais, a two-term trustee of the Bayonne Board of Education, and Bayonne PAL executive director “KT” Kim Torello in her bid to unseat two-term Mayor Jimmy Davis.

They will face Davis’ running mates: Councilman Juan M. Perez, and Loyad Booker, Jr., a former Bayonne police officer and Operation Desert Storm U.S. Army veteran.

Casais praised Ashe-Nadrowski, the current city council president.

“She knows the residents of Bayonne are done expecting more, but receiving less from local leadership,” Casais said.  “It’s time we roll up our sleeves and get the job done for our neighbors and our community.”

Casais and Torello are both well-known in Bayonne.  She has won two citywide elections and he runs an organization that manages a 40-yeam youth basketball league and a 150-person day care program.

“Making good things happen for people is what I love to do – it is my passion,” stated Torello.  “With Sharon’s leadership, and the team we’re putting together, we’re going to make sure no one in Bayonne is left out or left behind.”

Ashe-Nadrowski says he will announce her ward council running mates soon.
