East Brunswick Democrats take two Council seats

East Brunswick Democrats won the only two Borough Council seats held by Republicans.

Councilman James Wendell, Sharon Sullivan and Kevin McEvoy each received 20% of the votes cast on Tuesday, taking 10,045, 9,859 and 9,907 votes, respectively.

Councilwoman Camille Ferraro Clark lost her reelection bid, scoring only 6,840 votes, or 14%.

The other two Republican candidates, Curt Philipczak and Dharmendra Khona won 13% of votes, with Philipczak getting 6,641 and Khona getting 6,378.
