Samantha Minchello is giving up her post as executive director of the Monmouth County Democrats to take a government affairs post with the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association.
“Samantha will be a significant loss to the Party in her role as Executive Director. She coordinates many tasks for the Party and handles many issues for me as the Chairman, and for that, I am very grateful,” said David G. Brown II, the Monmouth County Democratic chairman. “The Party is not just losing an Executive Director, but a colleague and a friend who will be missed, but I am sure Samantha will not be going far and still be active in our organization.”
Minchello joined the Monmouth Democrats in 2021.
The funeral directors’ trade group was founded in May 1902 after a group of self-described “legitimate” funeral directors wanted the legislature to regulate their industry to combat “evil undertakers” who used unscrupulous methods of competition. Later, the association worked with the legislature to mandate the licensing of funeral directors.
