Morris County Commissioner Tom Mastrangelo picked up endorsements of two colleagues in his bid for the Republican State Assembly nomination in the 26th district.

“New Jersey needs Tom. Assembly District 26 needs Tom,” said Morris County Commissioners Doug Cabana and Kathy DeFilippo.  “He has proven he will deliver lower taxes and smart economic policy.”

Mastrangelo is running off the line against two incumbents, Jay Webber (R-Morris Plains) and BettyLou DeCroce (R-Parsippany).

Webber is running with the support of the Morris County GOP on a slate with Christian Barranco, who defeated DeCroce at the county Republican convention.  DeCroce is running alone on the organization lines in Essex and Passaic.

“District 26 and the New Jersey General Assembly need a strong new voice who will bring a commonsense conservative approach to Trenton on behalf of New Jersey taxpayers,” said Cabana.  “Tom is a leader who understands the value of a dollar, what it takes to balance budgets, and he is a proven tax fighter with demonstrated results.”

Mastrangelo, Cabana and DeFilippo ran as a slate in 2019 in a contested primary.  They defeated three rivals by more than 6,700 votes.

“Tom gets the job done,” stated DeFilippo.  “No one can argue with the success Tom has had in fighting for Morris County residents including 4 years of no tax increases and reducing debt by nearly $60 million. Tom brings a record of results we need in Trenton.”
