Just for fun and laughs — and not a lot of business — New Jersey’s bi-partisan beach caucus got together at the Jersey shore: Acting Gov. Sheila Oliver, Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin and his wife, Tish, along with DiAnn Gove (R-Long Beach); Mila Jasey (D-South Orange); Yvonne Lopez (D-Perth Amboy); Nancy Munoz (R-Summit); Nancy Pinkin (D-East Brunswick); Holly Schepisi (R-River Vale); Shanique Speight (D-Newark); Britnee Timberlake (D-East Orange); Cleopatra Tucker (D-Newark); and Valerie Vainieri Huttle (D-Englewood).
New Jersey has ten women in the Senate and 27 in the State Assembly, which puts the state in neither the top or bottom ten nationally, according to the Center for American Women in Politics at Rutgers University’s Eagleton Center for Politics.
The gathering was hosted by Vainieri Huttle at her home.
