The New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association has added a late endorsement in the 26th district Assembly race, backing Democrat Laura Fortgang against six-term incumbent Jay Webber (R-Morris Plains).

The PBA had already endorsed incumbent BettyLou DeCroce (R-Parsippany).

“We have had the opportunity to listen to Laura Fortgang’s vision for New Jersey and for law enforcement throughout the state, which is why we are proud to endorse her for New Jersey General Assembly in the 26th District,” said PBA president Patrick Colligan.  “It is important that we have leaders like Laura down in Trenton fighting to help our members, so she has our full support this November 5th.  Laura has campaigned hard on a theme of moving New Jersey forward, and we look forward to helping her become victorious on Election Day.”

Fortgang is the Verona Democratic Municipal Chair.
