Senate Minority Leader Anthony Bucco will return to another term after a unanimous vote by his colleagues.
With the Senate not up this year – the upper house next faces voters in what will be Gov.-elect Mikie Sherrill’s mid-term election in November 2027 – Democrats continue their 25-15 majority.
The current GOP leadership team will remain intact: Robert Singer (R-Lakewood) and Joseph Pennacchio (R-Montville) are the deputy minority leaders; Holly Schepisi (R-River Vale) is the minority conference leader; Michael Testa, Jr. (R-Vineland) is the minority whip; Declan O’Scanlon (R-Little Silver) is the Republican budget officer; Kristin Corrado (R-Totowa) is the ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee; and Vince Polistina (R-Egg Harbor Township) is the deputy conference leader.
“Our caucus is made up of dedicated public servants who care deeply about making New Jersey more affordable, safer, and stronger for every family,” Bucco stated. “I look forward to working with the Governor-elect in the upcoming legislative session, having a seat at the table, and continuing to fight for a New Jersey we can all be proud of.”
Bucco said he was honored to again serve as leader.
“Together, we’ll continue to be a steady, solutions-focused voice in Trenton, holding the line on taxes, standing up for common-sense policies, and delivering results that make a real difference in people’s lives,” he said.
