Oroho takes Senate nod in District 24

By Nikita Biryukov, June 08 2021 8:31 pm

State Sen. Steve Oroho (R-Franklin) defeated Daniel Cruz to win the GOP nod for State Senate in the 24th legislative district Tuesday.

Oroho had organizational lines in his bid for another term, while Cruz ran under the slogan “Bringing Back to the People.” Sussex County’s Republican party does not use a party line.

Assemblymen Hal Wirths (R-Wantage) and Parker Space (R-Wantage) were unopposed in their primaries.

They face a single challenger, ironworker Scott Fadden, in the general. No Democrat filed to run for the district’s State Senate seat.
