Democrats in the eighth legislative district have outraised their Republican opponents so far this cycle, according to 29-day pre-election reports filed with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission.

A joint committee for Democrats Gina LaPlaca and Mark Natale has raised $294,527.91 to date, while Republicans have raised a little more than two-thirds as much.

Assemblyman Ryan Peters and his running mate, former Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield, are each raising funds for their individual campaigns.

So far this cycle, Peters has raised $112,431.55, while Stanfield has raised $95,702.95.

When combined, the Republicans’ cash-on-hand beats out that of their Democratic challengers.

Peters reported having $88,279.78 banked, while Stanfield said she had $44,002.18 on hand.

The Democrats had $111,289.80 in reserves.

Election day is Nov. 5.
